Imagine using a resource in high school that some colleges don't even have. Imagine working at a factory without leaving the library. Then, imagine getting certified by some of the top-rated businesses in the world. Our students are able to achieve all this while preparing to graduate and move into college or the workforce.

Students around the district showed off their cooking chops at the 13th Culinary World Showcase. This year's cultural theme was China. The goal of the competition is to inspire students to explore, appreciate, and learn about global food cultures, acquire valuable lifetime culinary skills, encourage fun cooking with friends and family, and develop new ways to enjoy healthful flavor. 

For a few weeks, the first graders at Mathews have been reading and studying fairy tales. To top off all the work the kids have been doing, the teachers invited parents, and students from the high school theatre department to come over to perform scenes from some famous fairy tales. In addition to the short plays, the high schoolers also helped out with other fun activities that everyone enjoyed.
